Emma and ai have taken the dugs oot fur a few wee adventures recently... takin' in maire o' the wonderful sites roon Dumfries... this day it wuz the Twelve apostles...a Neolithic stane circle... it is the largest stane circle (henge) in Scotland... here is the info plaque...
very hard tae get the hale circle in a piccie... here is the entire circle...
very few o' the stanes arr still standin'...
they have fallen... been worn doon, broken... and several e'en carried aff... o'er the last 4000 year...
ai read that there were probably maire than 20 stanes when the circle wuz built... noo there are 11...

a few thoosan' years later.. when christianity came tae these pairts... they named the circle "Twelve Apostles" tae try take make it seem like it wuz christian...
the bouys certainly had a grand time chasin' the ball...
