			Mary of Scotland

Last night, I was up late watching TCM which aired Muntiny of the Bounty with Marlin Brando. So, this morning turning on the TV, I found playing the 1936 Mary of Scotland with Katherine Hepburn and Fredric March. Great way to start one's morning.

And how appropriate that Katherine Hepburn played in a movie opposite the character of a historical Hepburn, being the Earl of Bothwell.
'His piping Hepburns' were always with him as depicted in the movie.

Also watched "Breaker Morant" Monday morning. It has a few kilts in it as well.

I love that film! Kate Hepburn is at the top of the list of my all time favorite actresses from the 40's!
Also last night on PBS, Masterpiece Theater was showing Kidnapped (R.L.Stevenson's). Very interesting adaptation of the classic. There was a kilt or two in the film, although I'm not sure how historically correct they were in costuming.

I was able to watch the last 45 minutes or so of Breaker Morant. Everytime I see Edward Woodward, I think of The Wicker Man filmed just 6 years before that.

He was great as "The Equalizer". That was the first thing I actually knew him from. Since then I've discovered he is a great actor. And even though his version of "Wicker Man" is pretty weird, it still beats the newer one. And Britt Ekland, MMMM MMMMM Good!!!
