At the Pleasanton Games, They did have a booth. I like the look of their kilts. To me IMHO they put that London spin on their pinstripe kilts.

To me a "kilt suit" has always just not looked "right". That doesn't mean that someone else can't wear it, but not gonna happen with this fellow.
I'm going to speak heresy and say the same thing goes with tweed kilt suits.
Tweed kilts? Yup. Tweed box pleat kilts? Double-yup...I LOVE lady Chrystals double-box pleat tweed kilt. Tweed waistcoat? Yup. But add a jacket in the same tweed and it's just too much for my eyes.

Although I may not care for the pin-striped kilt suit, the jacket with a tartan kilt sounds intriguing. Do pin-stripes go with tartan?

I've never seen the combination. My first thought is that it would be like mixing different tartans and would clash..or give someone vertigo

I must admit I feel the same way... But to each his/her own. I'm not gonna tell others what to wear, but I certainly will not be getting a kilt suit for myself... A waistcoat in matching tartan, on the bias, maybe, but that's as far as I'd go.

I think they look really cool! I was watching "Celtic Thunder" the other night on PBS and for the finale the guys all came out in something similar, probably charcoal grey-it was hard to tell. Quite stunning.

Seen that on DVD. Those are 21CK, you can tell by the lightning bolt kilt pin (strangely worn diagonally).

I saw some very cheap black pinstripe kilts on eBay once. Obviously not by 21st century.

Here's one I recently had made for myself. I did the kilt, but the Jacket and Vest were made by our Jacket Supplier in Scotland. It's 11 oz pinstripe wool material from the UK. It's not EVERYONE'S "cup of tea", but it is DEFINITELY DIFFERENT than a traditional tartan.
As I said before... I do NOT like the Pinstripe kilt by itself. I would ONLY wear it as a full kilt suit.
Sorry for the porr quality of the pic.... it's raining outside today.
