Charlie Zahm
Anybody familiar with this guy? I've been invited to take part in a Scottish poetry reading before a show he's doing in the town where I live.
From his website, www.charliezahm.com, it looks like he has been around a while and has quite a following. The woman who asked me to read poetry just loves him.

Charlie HAS been around a L...O...N...G time, and there's a reason for that! He really IS that enjoyable. Along with Alex Beaton and Seamus Kennedy, these three guys could entertain me for weeks! The voices and instrumentations are beyond the realm of excellance.
The smaller the setting for them... the better. You really need to go to see/hear for yourself.

Thanks, Jimmy. The concert is in a church. I watched a video clip on his site and I guess that baritone of his will fill that place.
I'm looking forward to both the show and the poetry reading. I'll do "A Man's a Man for 'a That," if it's not already spoken for.

He was at the Long Island Games a couple of weeks ago. He just stood at the crossroads of the paths along which the vendor and clan tents were set up, singing and playing his guitar. His voice was really good and carried well at the locale. I bought a couple of his CD's.
I was just disappointed that he ran to take off his kilt once he had finished for the day. Given, it was a really hot day, and I had asked him earlier why he was wearing wool hose. His response was that it was tradtion. Kilt as costume?

Charlie performs every year at the Richmond highland games and the venue is packed for every performance the whole weekend. This, no matter what the weather is.
