    ...as it has been pointed out as a great wool cleaner that doesn't strip out all of the oils as dry cleaning is supposed to do. I can speak form many years of experience sending shetland wool sweaters to the dry cleaners: they do seem to get more and more dry each time they get cleaned.

    Can't help you there, but one thread (I think it was on washing hose) said to use hair conditioner in the final rinse. If it works for knitted hose, it ought to also work with your sweaters. Woolite and a conditioner rinse couldn't hurt. Human hair and wool are cousins (both natural fibers from a warm blooded mammal)

    My wife and I have tried Dryel on a few sweaters. It worked fairly well, however, I would not use it on my kilts.
