ForresterModern ~ I think the hangers look fine as well. I own both and switch between them depending on whether or not I wear a belt and how I feel.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

There can be times when getting the sporran off your lap is very beneficial. Some times I'll just rotate the sporran and strap so it hangs on my hip. The hangers are great as well.
This little device is something I came up with to convert a standard sporran into a belt pouch. I call it simply a sporran adapter (not USB compliant )

Nice it is, too. My own impression is that wearing the sporran on the belt was a hold over from medieval times in the Highlands, and would have been quite common during the hey days of the clan system and the Breacan Mor... Note: I am unable to sight any sources for this impression, just my amateur opinion etc.
I'll wager our friend Mr Newsome could shed some expert opinion on the matter, eh wot?
Cheers,

Also of note: I don't always wear a belt... just something to think about.

Actually, yes, I do have a pouch style sporran that I occasionally just put onto my belt. It's a little more convienient that way.

That looks good on ForesterModern. I always thought it looked goofy otherwise.
