Personally if I were going for PV I would go with Rocky or Pete as I know them better and I know the quality of their work and the material they use. I am not very familiar with the Kilted Nations stuff. an 8 yard PV kilt is great, but as for a winter kilt I would think it would depend on what your winters are like. We have a very rainy moderate winter with limited cold, cold days and snow and I have worn a 4 yard PV kilt and an 8 yard PV kilt in -16 C and it's alright. If you you want warm go with the Stillwater. Their service level and record is tried and true and you know what you get from Jerry.
