I find the "roll it up and put it into a knee-high stocking interesting. First because that is precisely what "Scotty" Thompson said to do in his book So you are going to wear the Kilt and what the enlisted men in the Navy have been doing for centuries with their dress uniforms, (just a slightly different process, but the same theory) which is to turn the uniform inside out, fold it lengthwise and then roll it up and stuff it into the sea bag.
