I remember Riverkilt getting an Argyll Jacket through Kathy Lare, however I'm not sure if it was strictly bespoke or an off the peg that was tailored. Perhaps talking to her would be an idea though as she would be more local than Scotland.

The one I got from MacKenzie Frain was made to measure. I went to a local tailor and got measured, and sent those off in an email. But I was also able to chose the weight and colour of fabric, rather than to 2 colours listed. They were very helpful.

I know that I am totally out of touch any more, but I used to visit my Mother in Des Moines a lot 30+ years ago. There were several tailors in business then. If there is one, then I would suggest you rent an argyle from this place:

to show to the tailor.
Otherwise, have a good trip

There was an article that came out a few years ago that compared the price of getting a bespoke suit made at a U.S. tailors vs. flying to Hong Kong and getting it done there. The prices were almost the same. This included airfare, hotel, food for 3 days, and the suit.
I'm not sure that it's still true considering the price of oil now, or the fact that you're just looking for a jacket and not an entire suit, but it's something to consider if you've ever wanted to go to Hong Kong (or better yet, Thailand-the quality is just as good, but it's much less expensive).

My tailor, Meyer & Mortimer, is in London just off Savile Row. M & M specialize in highland attire. My blue velvet evening doublet was made by the firm. They are NOT cheap! Let me repeat that: they are NOT cheap! But if you want the best, and are familiar with the tailors of Savile Row, and you have some $$$ at hand, Meyer and Mortimer really are the best at bespoke tailoring of highland dress. M & M make twice yearly visits to the US.
Good luck.

Although not strictly bespoke Hecotr-Russell has a nice daywear tweed jacket for 99GBP (juat under $200 US) and a matching waistcoat for an additional 49GBP (just under $100 US) on their website. Another option to consider, as they are one of the few remaining Scottish tailoring/kilting firms still hanging around who I think do it right (at least they looked like it when I visited their Edinburgh Shop).
