Remembering What Happened

I was at work, when someone came into the office and said one of the towers had been hit.
Sometime later, the data lines to our NY facilities dropped. Sinking feeling in my stomach.
Thankfully, all our people were OK.

I have flown a flag, at my home since 9-12-01, and will do so, indefinitely.

I was back down in Arizona because my Dad had just died five days before. I was already numb because of that loss while I was watching it on TV. Death was already on my mind, so part of me was thinking "wow, more people are mourning now." and part of me was thinking "how dare they do this to me when I'm this sad already". A very strange and surreal time for me.
