I'm back!
Hey guys, I lost the link to this website when my comp crashed and just remembered it thanks to the birthday note the site sent me ![Very Happy](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
I was wondering, is anyone into Martial Arts? I recently started studying Aikido and some of the techniques seem like they would be difficult to do while kilted without it flying up Anyone have any advice?

Welcome back, as far as advice, the only thing I can offer is to wear a gie instead of a kilt

I am a student of Aikido. If I were kilted and in the street, I wouldn't hesitate to do what might be necessary to bring about harmony. But in the dojo I wear the gi and hakama for practice. May you always practice well and safely.

I do wear a gi in the dojo, but I was meaning if I was attacked on the street while wearing my kilt. Not really concerned about it, just wondering.

Glad to hear you wear a gi in the dojo, I know my practice partners are glad I do. Although, it might be considered the first atemi.

Unfair Kilted Advantage!
I study Tae Kwon Do. I wear my dobok at class and at events. Just the view alone would be an unfair advantage when trying to kick someone's head while kilted!![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif) I do admit that I often think how great it would be to have the feeling of kilted freedom while sparring or doing forms.

Welcome back. As for advise, if you are forced to defend yourself,...then don't think about your clothes (in fact don't think) just do.
