Sean of the Dropkick Murphys Merch department made the mistake of coming to the Irish Festival here in Massachusetts. I started giving him an earful about the tartan, and the band should wear it for performances as well as allow fans to order semi-traditional kilts custom made in it through the website, etc... I was kilted at the time, it was a very rainy Friday night and the only other people coming into the tent were not aware of DKM! I had fun introducing the concept of Celtic Punk to them. Sean moved a few items to them, CD's and T-shirts. As the festival was about to close for the night three young men wandered into the tent, asking if I was wearing the DKM tartan! I had to point out that it was the County Donegal tartan, although I would certainly wear the DKM tartan, as soon as it became available. Two of them said that they would wear kilts if they could get DKM tartan. I gave them a card with this website as well as Rocky's. Sean got questioned by them about the possibility of the tartan coming out soon.
I worked the genealogy tent for The Irish Ancestral Research Association of which I am a member on Sunday the whole day. I sent every kilted man that came in to our tent over to ask Sean about the tartan. Maybe
