Waxhaw games aren't till the 24th. we could do it the weekend before or even two weekends before. There are like 3 weekends in October before the 24th one of those weekends has to work!

Or after the games... we could have supper.. Meet at the games. My clan tent is going to be portable in one box. We could still go back to the last of September but have it more as early supper type thing. That way those who are restricted to driving after 9pm can get home safe and sound.
I know I'm bouncing idea's but I'm trying to figure out what will work. I know I can't please everyone but at the same time, I would love to have more people attend this one. Not that I didn't have a good time with you Sharp and Nick. You guys were awesome. I just would like more than us three (four if you get your Mom to come along which I hope she can because she was awesome to meet).
And I know I'm not great at organizing these things but I hate us not having anything in our area.

Another Kilt Night Date
Another date for a kilt night is Friday Nov. 7th. Grade 5 winning pipe band Wake and District Pipes & Drums is holding their annual Tartan Ball. The Chcago Police Emerald Society pipe band is coming down and is going to give a big show there also. Lots of prizes, food, and drink. Guaranteed to be a great time. There is a limit of 400 tickets to be sold. Oh yeah, it's at the Downtown Raleigh Sheraton Hotel. Then Sat. from 3:00 to 9:00 the pub just down the street, Tir Na' Nog, is holding a Celtic Christmas and the pipe bands are there also. It's goin to be a big weekend!

That's awesome! But you are in Raleigh which is about 4 hours from the Charlotte area. You might get better results by posting in a separate new thread.

4 hours? Only if you are walking.
I can get from uptown Charlotte to the RBS Center in Raleigh, with rush hours in both cities AND Greensboro, in less than 3.
On a weekend, you can make the trip in 2 hours.
Just sayin'.

Taking the Interstate? Because I recall it takes an hour to get to GSO from here. I've only been in the Raleigh area once and that was driving past ... now I am a terrible judge of distance and time. Ok .. I know ... evidently so you must be thinking...
I know it's far enough away for it not to be a viable trip for me.
Nick and Sharpe.. you do not have to worry if we pick a Sunday for it to be a late thing. My work hours just changed... again. On Monday's instead of being at BB&T at 6:30am I have to now be there at 4:30am and I commute from Kannapolis to Exit 3 off of I-77.
