Good to know. If I find one I'll have to consider purchasing it. All the ones I've seen have had snaps.

For me, nothing beats my Barbour wax jacket for rain gear in Highland kit.

I agree.!! Since Filson is here in SEATTLE , I have a couple ( they have a "factory Store near me. I even scored some material. The "cape in my old avatar was made from it)

I also have a couple of REI "gortex" ( again Co discount outlet)

I personally feel that the snaps make the cape look decidedly cheap and flimsy, more like stow-away rain gear than a nice cape. I know that the cape is of high quality and that the snaps are sturdy and all (I've had a chance to examine them on several occasions), but I just can't equate snaps with nice outerwear. If Mr. Anthony put out a rain cape with nice large buttons (like the ones on a good trench coat) I would definitely be on board.
Just recv'd an email from Antony. The ONLY cape he makes with buttons is the "STANDARD"

That's too bad, because I really like the feel of the material that the Ultimate is made from. Ir feels more like a classic trench coat which is what I'm looking for.

Having read the first part of this thread last week I also went bought an Ultimate cape from Mr Anthony. It arrived a day later (I live in England) and it's great. The only problem is that now it has stopped raining!!!

Never mind, this is England, it'll soon start raining again
