    Here's one I did earlier

A slightly older pic of myself and herself at the Mayor of Wandsworth's Ball earlier this year.

I would have preferred to have had a chance to straighten my sporran but we were caught coming off the dance floor and rushing for a drink of water before the next dance.

    Isn't vanity a dreadful thing!!
    :-)

Thanks Werewolves and Aldissimo, the doublet is a Kenmore that doubles (forgive the pun) as a pipers doublet.

Although it doesn't have shoulder shells it does a very plausible job with the added bonuses that (a) it was a lot cheaper than a piper's doublet and (b) is a lot cooler to wear, especially when paired up with a full weight 4yard pipers plaid!

yes, ardchoille, I should imagine you would like the tartan, it's my favourite MacGregor, though I was surprised to learn that the clan chief frowns on its use by any other than a close branch of his family!

Jamie, quite agree. SWMBO is a dance teacher so I find myself dancing 4 or 5 nights a week in the busy winter months! Trying to get fit again after the summer break as we speak.

I wonder how many dancers there are on this forum, subject for a poll perhaps?

Thankyou also cessna152towser and Sionnach for your kind comments.

Well, Sir Malcolm MacGregor has amended that to say that it's ok to wear it if you bought it in good faith thinking you were buying a hunting version of the MacGregor red and green tartan.. so I'm sure it's fine.
