Most of all you look pleased and that is good good good.

Thanks, I liked the way the sporran turned out. The good think about that one is the two pockets, one big one, and a smaller one on the front of it. That allowed me to put my wallet, cell phone, handkerchief, car keys, etc., in the large pocket and keep it closed, while I kept a bit of cash, and a cigarette lighter in the small pocket. I didn't have to go digging through a lot of junk to pay for things.
As an aside, putting the things from my pockets all into a single pouch made me realize that I carry an awful lot of crap around with me every day. I'll have to see if there's a way to pare all that down some....
The soccer socks is a great idea, it never occurred to me. I was actually thinking I might have to invest in a pair of taller boots. I didn't realize how low they were until I saw the picture of myself in them with no pants legs covering up the top, and no BDU leg bloused over the top.
As for looking pleased, I have to admit, that not only was I pleased, I was very comfortable. And I mean comfortable all the way around. I didn't even find myself nervous to go out in public in my kilt, or even worried about what might be said. It just felt so natural to be in a kilt that it never crossed my mind that I should be nervous about it. My wife is actually the one who pointed that out to me, as I normally get a little edgy before making big changes, but going kilted was, apparently, so natural that I didn't view it, sub-consciously, as a major change.
Already looking forward to the next outing. May be as early as next weekend, when we go as a family up to Sky-Top orchard for apple and pumpkin picking. Depends on the wife though, she'll get final say, and I don't know how comfortable she is with being seen with me kilted. I'll have to broach that subject this evening
Take care all,
Casey
