I see no reason the pith helmet could not sport a cap badge. Front and center of course.

Just wear it... At a jaunty angle, tilted to the right and tipped slightly forward, badge uppermost. It's a great hat and shouldn't be restricted by the "should I-shouldn't I" Police!!
