Seaforth Highlander Cobbler
I found these pics of a Seaforth Highlander Cobbler while researching shoemaking. It's only a figurine but it's still interesting.

Nice photos. Interesting, I have never seen suspenders on a kilt before.

Superb figurine(s) - the bottom one appears to be different (he's wearing a Glengarry for a start, whereas the other three are sporting Balmorals!
I have a small collection of kilted figurines - well, three really - a Highland Dancer, Rob Roy and (ahem) one of me .......... Panache knows all about that one! The Cobbler would make a fine addition to my 'Figurine Follection'!
Take care,
Ham.

I noticed the fourth figure seemed different as well, although it's supposed to be the same figure. I decided to post it anyways.

I don't know. I ran across them while gathering info on shoemaking and suppliers. When I find something interesting like this I usually save it. Otherwise I'd never find it again. If I find it again I'll post the location.

The bonnet style dates this figurine at after 1915. To my knowledge, the Jocks were never issued braces.
Having said that, the braces detail is exactly right as they were issued in the First War and, aside from the boots and belt, the colours are right (note the "Angola" shirt).
I'd say these are "sentimental" souvenirs ("to remember", in other words) painted for the specific regimental markets in which they were to be sold. Some would be kilted and the kilt painted appropriately, some would wear the Glengarry and some the bonnet. The common thread would be the braces and the boots. There should still be a few of these around.
