Break out the wools
I really love autumn. It's my favorite time of year. The heat and humidity here are gone. The trees will soon be dressed in all their glory, and my light weight kilts go into hibernation only to awaken occasionally as summer past emerges with a gentle reminder that it is should not soon be forgotten.
An early morning walk with a wind out of the northwest . . . it's like the first day of wearing a wool kilt all over again, the warmth, a wind gust that is only able to gently ruffle the pleats. And you're reminded of why you choose to wear such an incredible garment.
Know the feeling?

This is my first fall since I've started wearing kilts but it is a really good feeling!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Autumn starts around December here, "Winter" (we get frost for a few days in a row) is usually the last week of January, and then it's Spring until April. I miss the seasons.

I never put my wools away. I find them comfortable even in 90º temps.

I know the feeling! I set my sights on Samhain for cooler days and nights which tend to end near Memorial day.

I sure do. I only wear wool. I especially enjoy Autumn and Spring. Here the wind blows all year round, sometimes gently, and at times not so gently,...and the pleats take it all in stride.

Yeah, I am another that never puts wool away. I do wear cotton in the shop in the summer though, just so I don't soak the nice wool kilts with sweat when it's really hot.
I do like autumn though. Bird hunting soon. And fall mushrooms too.

Sounds lovely, but I can't relate here in the Sonoran Desert. We're still "enjoying" triple-digit temps.
Be we can also tell that Fall is arriving by the changing colors here in Phoenix - yeah, the many the different colored license plates as the Snowbirds arrive!

I indeed know the feeling. These cool mornings that we've had has served to remind me that it's time bring them out of storage.
