My wife and I stayed in the Windsor Hotel in Cairo, twice. The first time just on vacation. The second time we were there for my cousins wedding. Before going to the wedding we stopped at the bar in the hotel for a drink. (Since the wedding was a Muslim wedding and no beer). Well sitting at the bar someone took our photo. Years latter I saw that it was used on the Hotel website.
By the way if anyone ever goes to Cairo, it is a great hotel. Used to be a British Officers Club back during WWI and WWII. Still has the same furniture.
I had a similar experience recently, only not as pleasant. Someone snapped a photo of me from behind and posted it to a website. The comments ranged from informed to ignorant to downright malicious. It's a good thing I no longer care what others have to say.
