Loch Lomond Highland Games & the Nor Cal Rabble

Occasional light morning drizzle made for a damp beginning to the last gathering of the season in the Bay Area. Finally the blue skies appeared.



TimC and Alan H were competing in the heavy games.







Alan's friend Robin participated for her first time in the heavy games.

Good friend Bill showed up (prepared for the weather) to discuss the goings on with Farlander.

Robin practiced with Alan H's throwing gear the Sunday before the games. I had given her one of Jerry's cards and 6 days was more than enough time for Stillwater to get her a kilt to compete in!



Robin did very well for her first competition (and only second time throwing ever!)

I picked up this simple cromach for $25. It wasn't perfect but the price was right. I will finish sanding it down and re-staining it today.

At the end of the day a frosty beer and a hearty German meal was in order (the food at the Tyroleon Inn was incredible.



I know, I know...walkerk's is much bigger than mine, but I had to drive home!

The Loch Lomond Games are a very nice way for the Nor Cal Rabble to end thier Highland Games season.

I'm sorry I missed you all, but duty called and I must needs obey the summons. I had three show over the weekend, I hope to add both Campbell and Loch Lomond to my schedule next season. The pictures all look great.
