Exclamation Did Celtic Craft Centre go out of business?

I ordered a kilt from Celtic Craft Centre back in July at the Scottish Highland Games here in Seattle. I have twice emailed them, and have not had a reply. I just tried to phone the company at the two numbers that are on my receipt, 760-778-7805 & 800-535-5458. These are both being reported as disconnected. I found a third number on the site here, which is 415-567-6520, and that too is disconnected.

I'm fearful that they've gone out of business and run off with my money.

Does anyone know of another way to contact them, or know any information regarding this?

    Thanks.

I don't know if they are in business, but it took me over a year to get an embroidered patch I ordered from them at the Portland Games.

I have had a couple of bad trips over the years too. That is why I only buy what I can take home from a vendor at any of the games I attend. Too bad that I have to be suspicious of honest artisans and vendors who are also honest. But that is the way it is.

I guess it is still caveat emptor.

Thanks, I just sent an email to their Edinburgh store. Hopefully they're a little more responsive than the US one. If I don't receive a reply from them tomorrow, I'll give them a call.

I've also registered a complaint with the BBB of Southern California.

Yes, it has the same phone numbers and email addresses that I have on my receipt. And aside from a splash page with their contact info simply says, "Under Construction" when you click on any of the links.

I understand the Palm Springs store did close, and everything is being handled from Scotland. A former employee advised that if you paid by credit card, dispute it and try to get a cash back.

Their website has been under construction since I first saw it in 2003. Since I lived in the San Francisco area in those days, I visited their store and liking what I heard (and saw) purchased a tank from them in September of that year. Five years later, the kilt looks like the day I first wore it. They were doing a great business in those days. I haven't been in the store since we left the Bay Area in 2005.

    Celtic Craft Centre

I was in their Edinburgh shop on the Royal Mile just 3 weeks ago and they certainly seemed to be very much in business.

I hope you get your order sorted.
