Chicago Kilt Night - Friday October 17th

Hey folks, Iain Robb will be in town from Florida and Beloitpiper is coming down from Wisconsin (and bringing his small pipes with him) so let's meet up at the Duke of Perth for all-you-can-eat Fish and Chips about 6:30 or 7.

The pub is at 2913 North Clark. There's a parking garage across the street and about a block south in the Century Mall. Or, if you're lucky, you might find street parking.

I had occasion to stop by The Duke for lunch today and warned...er...advised them of our plans. They're pretty sure that they can handle it.

Greg, it's BYOB...bring your own bagpipes. The only reservation that they have is that you not play out in the beergarden area...they have some crabby neighbors who are bound to complain.

(...and we've seen this before, haven't we...people move into hip neighborhoods and see all of the bars and restaurants on the street before they move in and then suddenly realize that they're living in a busy and noisy neighborhood and get all righteous about quiet and privacy...gimme a break and turn up the jukebox!)
