Project Jones
Here is everything I've gotten in the last few days.
That's my 13oz MacBeth on top, my "Light Grey" blend below, the fox/badger stole Kevin spotted, and the copy of Barb's book I bought to go with the fabric.
Now all I need is eight extra hours in each day to work on all these projects.

Watch the thread "badger alert" for updates on that little guy. I'm hoping to make a full mask for myself and a semiformal with a braided leather cantle for Scooby. I need to take home a large piece of craft paper to map out the skin so I can figure out just what I can make of him.

I'm looking forward to seeing that MacBeth tartan become a kilt. That's long been one of my favorites.

Just one question - where do the tiny cars fit into the scheme? Seriously - have a great time!

If you must know, Scooby and I built that table for the trains, and I have the materials laying about to build a removable, hollow core, maple top for that as well, so it's actually another project in the queue. It functions as a "coffee" table in my living room, although I try to keep food off of it.
I have no ancestral connection to the MacBeth, but neither do I have one to any actual Scottish Tartan. I had been considering it, since I work in the theatrical industry, and when I saw the remnant on F&K decided it was a sign. It is a very nice color combination; my original thought was to pleat to the sett, but after looking at it, I may pleat to the stripe, leaving the blue buried to flash when it swishes. I'm going to do at least one in the grey first before I start "whacking" at the wool, it was a good deal, but I still want to do it right.

Now, now, let's be honest here. You saw that F&K grey in person and just fell in love with it. The dashing model it was on looked just smashing and you thought "Hmm, very nice. If it only was a bit smaller." Good luck!

You know Big Mikey, I have to say I'd already ordered that light grey when Alan pointed out that you had been wearing it at the NorCal Rabble night. I did go back and look at that very picture after he told me that. He did say I probably wouldn't need as much of the grey as you used. As great as that looks on you, I bought it for the price and because they had that amazing deal on the MacBeth as well.
