    As someone who traveled through the Glasgow airport two days after Mr. Smeaton helped to make this a relative non-event I too add my thanks. As well as congratulations on the award.

    WOW! This is the first I've heard of John. Its nice to see a MacNeil tartan in the news. But unfortunately, he's ill. I hope he gets well soon .

    Smeaton Medal

    Congratulations and concern. Asthma is no fun as I have 2 grandchildren with this affliction. I hope he gets better soon.

    Think its just the photo, I have had had a problem where the lower apron hangs below the top one too

    What makes you think so? Looks like a normal tapered pleat to me.

    There is no fringe on the left side which leads me to believe that he is wearing the kilt correctly, I think what you are seeing is the pleat edge not the opening.
