New Rampant Lion Sporran
I've been wanting a Brown Rampant Lion Day Sporran for awhile, so I got busy and made the following.
FRONT
BACK
Dimensions are 7 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches and it opens about 2 1/2 inches or a little more. I put my wallet, cell phone, car keys and change purse in it without any problem. The tartan in the background is the Weathered Lamont heavyweight kilt from Stillwater Kilts.
The Brown color is a mixture of some left-over Fieblings dye. Mostly light brown, some dark brown, and a little walnut.
The photos don't do the color justice. It is are really rich golden brown.
The gussett is laced all the way around the back and onto the front flap. This time I added a small braided leather tassle to the front center of the flap. I think it might make it a little easier to open. Closure is a hidden magnetic clasp. I've never had a problem with anything falling out with this clasp.
For daywear, I think it will go well with my green and brown kilts.
For my next project, I think I'll make a black sporran with a red welsh dragon. I sold the one I had on hand.
For pics of others I have made, go to the link at the bottom.
Regards,
Tom

That is one really nice sporran. I am trying to find something similar for day wear, but I can't find exactly what I want--well, unless you count that really high dollar ones.
Guess it's off to the Hobby Lobby for me, too.

Beautiful, Tom. Your sporrans get better every time.

Looks wonderful, Tom. I've never had any issues with the magnetic clasp you put on mine either. I really like the braided tassel a the end... gives it a little something.
