So I'm deep on the Navajo reservation at the Black Mesa Store and Gas Station on Hwy 160 at the foot of Black Mesa (featured in the movie Milepost 398). I'm leaving the store and an attactive Navajo girl, probably about 16 to 20 rolls down her pick up window and says, "Excuse me, where are you from?" I answered, "Page." She sort of looks me over (Dress Gordon semi-trad, Maui Celtic t-shirt, soccer sox pushed down) and says, "Then why are you dressed like that." Looked her in the eye and said, "Comfort and FREEDOM. Pants are too tight for me." While she was pondering that I added, "And I have Scottish blood." That seemed to satify her.
She'd not have said a thing if I'd been in jeans....at least she'll have something to talk about for a few days...
