You might as well have saved yourself the effort and just bought Wintersmith and Hatfull of Sky while you were at the bookstore...you'll be wanting them as soon as you finish WFM.

Thanks for the advice, I had to see if my son had them on his bookshelf first, which he doesn't.

Sorry to drag out an old thread, but finished The Wee Free Men- great read, now have Hatful of Sky, and am on my way to pick up Wintersmith. I did read a few other books in between- like Twilight (just to see what the hoopla was about.)

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer? Finished it about 30 minutes ago. Not too bad.

The very one! So now the question is how do I spend my 30% off copon at Borders- Terry Pratchett or Stephanie Meyers?

    And just a quick update:

The Colour of Magic will finally air in the USA on ION TV over the Thanksgiving holiday...mark your calendars.

    http://www.marketwatch.com/news/stor...3%7D&dist=hppr

In an inspired piece of casting, they have Jeremy Irons as Lord Havelock Vetinari....let's see how long it takes JI to sneak in his tag line, "...you have no idea." Astute watchers will note that he even managed to stick it in The Lion King, where he did the voice of the evil lion, Scar.

Great news. After following this thread I secured copies of The Hogfather and the Wyrd Sisters through netflix. I enjoyed both, but especially the Hogfather- Pratchett seems to be a very allegorical guy.

I just plowed through the Moist Von Lipwig books, Going Postal and Making Money. Both of them are great and Pratchett's take on economics, collectibility, politics, fraud, counterfeiting and the incredible deviousness of Lord Vetinari. Given current events in the markets and the fluctuation of currencies, they are both particularly timely.
