    A bit late on this----I have been away shooting. Well ok Jamie, your "buffalo" cromach looks a wee tad shorter, but you may find it more comfortable if it were two inches shorter,still. The way to find the best height,for you, without cutting too much off, is find some soft ground and push it in until the required height is found-----then find a saw!

    That did the trick. I just adjusted it till iwas just the right height to be comfortable to lean on and marked it. After lopping off 2 1/2 inches it is perfect (for me).
