    Opinions?

I'M REALLY WANTING TO ORDER UP A KILT IN SOME OF THE NEW iSLE OF sKYE, BUT i'M DEBATING (opps...capslock) the casual vs semi-trad. I'm wondering how people like each, especially the casual. I see LOTS of folks buying semi-trads ad not as many of the casual model. The velcro almost immediatly puts me off, but how about the rest of the kilt? I don't have a USA Kilt yet and have never seen one in real life.

I started with casuals, then after trying a semi-trad found I liked it so well I sold off a bunch of my casuals to buy more semi-trads in the same tartan.

But that's just me, I'm a gutter kilt addict.

You can't go wrong with Rocky, whatever you buy. Casuals are great in the hot summer.

Spend the money and get the semi-trad. It is easier to dress down a semi-trad than it is to dress up a casual.

While I only own a semi-trad, I must say I have seen the casual dressed up with great success. (Just make sure you ask that the patch be left off.) If cost was a serious factor I might lean to the casual.

    Best regards,

Between the two I would say go for the Semi-Trad, while I do not have a casual, the Semi Trad is more like a traditional kilt, I really do like my semi-trad for the summer.

Yes... it came in about a week ago (as did the Firefighters Memorial in PV material), so it will be part of our Casual and Semi Trad options soon (you can order it over the phone now). There WILL BE a $15 surcharge on the IOS tartan as we have to pay royalties to the mill (who pays Rosemary) to use this tartan.

At the risk of hijacking the thread, how does it look? Does it have that same "muted" quality that the wool verision does? Is it it's own animal?
