How long had that cat been dead? Mine vacates the premises if he just sees a vacum cleaner.

That's funny.
Most of my cats are afraid of the noise the vacuum cleaner makes. If it wern't for that, they would probably enjoy the brush attachment.
They can have odd personality features though. I have one that likes to pester me when I talk on the phone. I think the phone ringing is what sets him off. He wants to jump up in my lap and bite my shirt sleeve... Sometimes he misses and bites my arm along with my sleeve! This is while I'm talking on the phone!
