Wally, the kilt looks great and the flashes look well done, but the (GLARE) white hose kind of wash out the flashes. Do you have some light blue hose? I think that would make the purple pop.

Thanks SB. The kilt hose are actually cream. Must be something with the digital camara and lighting. Hose are another accessory I am in short supply. My next hose I plan on a lovat green. Then maybe some lovat blue... Christmas is so far away

Just a fast photo note: when set at the factory automatic defaults, most digital cameras see something that's near a pure, neutral white and record it as neutral no matter what the actual color cast of the object is. This happens when the white balance is set to the Automatic (A) setting. Best to set the color balance to the daylight color temperature (5500K)and shoot outside. Fiddle with the settings and you'll get closer to the actual color that the eye perceives the object to be. Using the "Quick Fix" function in some image editing software does the same thing...tries to average everything out and shift it toward "neutral". Shooting fabric and getting it to appear in the photo the same colors and shades as it does to the human eye is a big challenge sometimes because of the way that different dyes react to different parts of the spectrum.

As automatic as these cameras are, you still have to learn when to switch it over to Manual Mode to get the photo.
