Along the lines of a historical outfit (not costume, right), my daughter's parochial school is having a "Saints Party" where all the kids dress up like saints throughout history. I love to get in the spirit, and I since I wear one of my kilts to church each week..
are there any canonized saints known to have worn kilts?
Of course St Andrew never went to Scotland and I've never seen St Patrick depicted in a kilt. If anyone knows, you on this board will know.

I seem to recall a mention on Guinness bottle of a "St. James Gates"...probably a distant ancestor of Microsoft's Bill Gates...

I wore my costume today, which I hope to get a copy from my wifes camera soon, and aside from a handful of teens calling it a skirt, one store keeper loved it, and another really really loved it, but she doesn't count since she's British and knows what they are supposed to look like. Oh wait, never mind, I guess she does count...
I think one little kid recognized the costume though, I hear one start saying "rabble rabble rabble" as he walked by, which is something one of the other characters from that show always says. That is actually the highlight of the night. Well, that or the kinda hot British Personal Trainer lady that likes kilts...

I don't believe so. St. John Ogilvie was the last Scottish canonized saint, and I'm pretty certain he didn't wear a kilt.
