I wore mine as part of a costume, then I removed it to take off the fencing jacket and put on a tshirt and put the kilt back on and went back out of the house. (I wasn't about to grab a clean pair of jeans and reload the pockets from the sporran that late in the day) and my wife actually admitted getting more used to the kilt.
