    OKAY. I just got off the phone with him.
    Here is the report.
    1. 2 days & one night of GREAT FUN.!!
    2. Was KILTED the entire time.
    3. He was WARM & COMFY.
    A. Temps were "mild"( low 30s in morn & night & 40s during the day.)
    B. Wore a TOS for head gear,Layered for upper body ( lent hin my IC, but he only wore it one night "for style"
    C. Wore Good wool Kilt hose with "soccor socks"
    D. Kilt = Regimental WT.
    E Under the kilt
    1. started with "thermo bike shorts" but soon found them too warm.Switched to "Lygra bike shorts" = just right.

    Pictures ???
    They took a few pics ( not really picture buffs), & he said that he does not know if there are any of him. He will look. NOTE he did mention that a lot of people commented on th "Scotish look" & wanted pictures,

    Also, it was such a great experience, he is planing on KILTING up when they go back for the Christms Event.

    As to the XMS forum?? He is Know "lurking" on it.

    Long Johns? I live in the coastal region of Northern California. What I need is a wet suit!

    I've done it. Worn long johns under a Workman's UK while visiting my hometown of Pittsburgh during the winter. Not a very attractive look, but quite functional. The kilt does a good job of shedding falling snow. The long johns kept the nether bits warm in the chill breeze.
