Cool, Ron. I just bought a set, but I haven't tried them yet, so I've been wondering how they were going to look and feel.
I want to wear my shrunken kilt again, too.
Thanks for the update.

Great pics and info. If any of my kilts shrink in the future I'll know how to fix them.

I was actually thinking about getting a set of those. Thanks for the review.

I agree with you, Ron. Last Christmas I was given a set of the extenders as a wee gift but soon after, with a huge amount of sacrifice and effort, I began to lose weight and so they were not required.
Being the sensible and practical guy that I am, I kept them - just in case they might be needed later. Well, I have to confess that just last week I DID need them when I particularly wanted to wear a kilt I'd not worn for a year or so - and they are brilliant. Alright, I'd not use them if I were attending anything even slightly 'dressy', but for everyday use they are just the job.
They may get more use shortly than I could want as I have also begun to put weight back on - it's GOT to be a seasonal thing!!!
Take care,
Ham.

Nope, it one of the mysteries of life, why do special clothes shrink in closets? My first Kilt shrunk about 10 inches. . . . kilt strap extender straps wouldn't do it much good. Currently my 13 year old Grandson wears it. . . . maybe it won't shrink quite so much for him. But then in 60+ years. . . . who knows?

Thanks for the review of the kilt strap extenders. I've been wondering what these looked like and how they work. As Hamish said, for a formal event not good, but for kicking around town definately worth the price to be able to wear an old kilt again.

Kilts of all sorts have a nasty habit of shrinking in the closet... why if you're not carefull, they'l shrink at the tailor's too before you even get them !

I have a set of the 1.5"-wide extenders and am well-pleased with them. They have five holes 3/4" on centers. The minimum extension is 3-1/4", maximum 6-1/4".
