We-e-e-e-ll, Ah guess SO! (Trying to sound like a cowboy.)

That's a pretty nice kilt, and you have an even nicer wife. Be thankful for both. And thanks for the photo.

Congrats on a great looking kilt. It looks very sharp on you. Wear it in good health throughout the New Year, and beyond.

Ahhh, yes: those of you that have commented on the cat should be happy to know that the Thompson Grey is now, in fact, a Thompson Black (cat hair). I sat down to watch TV for a couple of hours this afternoon, and Elisa (the cat) came up to officially inspect and bless the kilt.

We both found it very comfortable.

I think you'll be very surprised as to how warm the PV semi-trads are. Heat rises, wear wool kilt hose and a sweater or jacket and you'll be fine.

Here's a pic of me in a USA Kilts casual (same fabric, fewer pleats) on a windy 18 degree F day at the Grand Canyon...with 8 degree updrafts at the edge! Plenty warm.

Another suggestion would be to lose the belt. The straps work fine to hold up the kilt and you have less weight and its a lot easier on the belly when you sit. But up to you of course.
