Flannel?

In Scotland and in Canada flannel is best made into bed sheets Nothing like climbing in on a cold winter's night and letting the sheets capture your body heat and make a wonderous cocoon for you. But for a kilt (picture the head slowly shaking from side to side).

But, but, but, but....I love my denim Utilikilt...my belly just got too big to wear it. Was/is a fine cotton kilt.

Many fabric stores carry poly/viscose (rayon) or all polyester, or wool and polyester. If you aren't too particular about the tartan, you should be able to find something that would work. Also you might ask Seamus at SportKilt if he will sell fabric. I haven't asked so don't know. I know Stillwater does not sell fabric, however.

I'll be visiting the fabric stores tomorrow to check around. I know I can find my tartan in flannel at Joann's, for instance. But I'm curious to see what else i can find. I saw the X-Kilt plans and thought to try it out.

Not all cotton is created equal.
