Something to think about while waiting for your new kilt

For all of us waiting for our kilts to be made up, here is some consolation. Having a queue in front of your order means that the kilt maker has a significant amount of business. This means they will stay in business. Given current economic conditions, strikes me as a good thing.

Yes and no. Good things are worth waiting for.
But in lean times or no, competition often favors availability (speed).

Its nce to know that we are helping the economy by keeping our favorite kilt makers open, however I'd bet that people would rather they stay open without having to wait for that brand new kilt
    The hielan' man he wears the kilt, even when it's snowin';
He kens na where the wind comes frae,
But he kens fine where its goin'.

Sure is a wonderful world where you can get a SWK in about 72 hours and yet still be able to order a handcrafted Lady Chyrstel were the demand is high enough to keep her in business.

Just goes to prove W.J. Kiazer's statement "find a need, and fill it".

"Think Globally, Act Locally" I have been very happy to support "local" kiltmakers and want them to stay afloat, especially in these times. My most recent tax refund monies went to USAK.

    Regards

It does give some solace, however, the kid in me is screaming "I want it now!"

I'm approaching the halfway mark in the wait for my first USAK (also an American Heritage--PV semi-trad). It not so bad waiting... tick...tock...tick...tock... For the impatient (and less frugal) amongst us, USAK does offer the "rush order," get your kilt in two weeks price option.

Are you looking for justification?! Don't we all want too? I am sure Riverkilt will have something to say- or a photo (or 9 or was it 10?) to post, and Irishcoloradoan too soon.

Just as long as you remember the law of work:

    You may have something done:

    - fast
    - cheap
    - well

But you may only choose two out of three.
