Well, you can get Buzz Kidder sporrans and kilts through several different sources including the Scottish Tartans Museum, so it's a little bit of a strange situation. Now that I think about it, Tommie didn't say exactly where he ordered it from, so I don't even know if it is the same place as I ordered my kilt through...

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I ordered a kilt and sporran from them on 08/04/08 and received an e-mail order confirmation indicating "Your order will be processed pending credit card approval". When my credit card had no charge on it by 08/18, I sent them an email to confirm my order. No response by 08/28 so I called the phone number on the web site. Turns out it is an electronics company and I left a voice mail message. No call back that day or next so I sent another email message. Finally, on 09/03 I got a call from Buzz's brother. He indicated they got hammered with some rugby team orders and, as they are a small company, they got behind. Also, he told me they don't charge your credit card until they ship your order. Told me he would check on my order and get back to me. I never did hear back from him but I received the kilt and sporran on 09/17. Conclusion: I have no problem with the kilt or sporran but their communication leaves much to be desired.

I had a similar experience recently with Fraser and Kirkbright. I ordered tartan from the remnant page, received no email confirmation, and the fabric that I purchased remained listed for several days. I sent off an email to the address on my paypal receipt and received confirmation that my order was in transit, but a bit disconcerting.

The Buzz Kidder line is carried by quite a few of us. Rocky, Matt, Jerry and I all carry them.
Buzz and his brother Randy are actually in the Electronics business. They sub-contract their products and even as a seller of the products I have had as long as a four month wait for product to arrive.
My suggestion is to call Randy directly.
Or cancel the order through the Buzz Kidder website and place your order with one of us who have their product on hand.

I ordered a Buzz Kidder Sporran on December 2 and received it yesterday. I have to admit that I was getting nervous that it wouldn't arrive by Christmas, and emailed them asking about a possible shipping date. I never received an email reply. My bank, however, confirmed that my account had been charged on December 17th, and it was my understanding that the company does not charge your account until your item is actually shipped. Just like clockwork, my sporran arrived yesterday with a postmark of the 17th.
The quality and workmanship of the Buzz Kidder Sporran is firts class and certainly a very good value for the money.
