47th Salado Scottish Clan Gathering & Highland Games - Nov 7 through 9, 2008
Hello, all!
Is anyone going to Salado this weekend? I'll be there in my Clan MacIntyre Association tent. Come by for a chat. I'll probably have water and Shiner Boch in the cooler and a single-malt in my flask.

Hope to see you there.

Sure wish I could go. Christopher and I had hoped to compete at our first Games there, but we just couldn't make it this time. Ah well... just gives us more time to focus on training until next season Maybe next year!
Have fun, everyone!

You did and you did! I enjoyed meeting you, your wife and baby! What a beautiful family! And, both the Maxwell and MacDoughall tents were up.

I hope you and Christopher make it next year. The Salado Highland Games are the oldest surviving games in Texas. It's a tradition to go just to go. This year, the event moved from the Robertson Ranch across I-35 to Pace Park near the main part of town. NO MORE COW PADDIES TO SHOVEL! LOL! The weather was great, too!

Steve, nice to meet you as well. Look forward to seeing you again for the games in San Antonio and Houston (and maybe Arlington as well!).

The same to you and yours, Shaun: for San Antonio, probably; Houston, surely; and, Arlington, a strong maybe!

I was in the clan tent across the way with the same highland clan map. Good to meet you.
