Sorry all...I haven't been here too regularly of late and missed the "resurrection" of my thread...
Pleat question -- Yes, the pleats were reversed on purpose. A test to see if they were easier to deal with when getting into the car. The answer: yes, but I had to relearn my sweep technique.
Magnetic clasp question -- I like it. The clasp itself is pretty thick, and since the area where it is mounted is made of two thicknesses of saddle leather, I drilled through one thickness to inset the clasp for a flush mount. It works splendidly...keeps the sporran closed tighly without the unsighly gaps so common on cantled sporrans with a strap-and-snap closure.
Thanks again for the compliments. I just got a fine coyote pelt, so I think another sporran like this, with brown leather, will be coming together soon.

Once again very nice! My wife was asking me last night if a coyote would be too big for a full mask sporran, I told her yes, but the pelt would make a nice one. I am very tempted to try my hand at a fox first, every time I walk past my wife's fox pelt I just have to touch it lol.
