I'd probably take a much more stealth vengeance approach. I'd carry a tartan handkerchief and when picture time comes around, for every photo you are in, whip out the handkerchief and have it prominent in the photo so when they get their photos back it will be a nice little surprise They can have their day but you get a piece of eternity

I won't say what I would do for THIS wedding but for YOU'RE wedding I would have to agree with Jerry here. Once the wedding DID take place I would have moved to the other side of the country and gotten an unlisted phone number!

That's funny because actually... we're moving to New Zealand in August...she doesn't know yet. We're going up to Billings this weekend and will tell her then. SURPRISE!
I've just come to expect this kind of crap from her...it's worse now that we have a baby.
In all honesty, hubby will be the bigger person and do what my mom wants for her wedding. (but it would be sooooooo funny to show up kilted)
My sister is getting married to a Buchanan in July. She asked me and my hubby to help her plan an all out kilted hoorah (it's gonna be in Seattle and open to the public!) and told my mom she doesn't want her to "help."
So that will be fun.
On a side note, my mom didn't get any say on the fun reception we had down here in Afton. We didn't have a kilt but we did manage to get a snow-machine into our church's gym as a decoration.

It sounds as though you get the last laugh here, my sister in law did much the same thing, not New Zealand, but far enough.
On the original subject, this seems as though this thread brings out the worst in all of us(except Jamie and Glenn), we should be doing things that make kilts more welcome, right?!?
