RIP mitch mitchell

Mitch Mitchell, the legendary drummer of Jimi Hendrix, died today of natural causes. He was a great drummer, who mixed the styles of rock and jazz redefining the drums for rock. He was known for making the drums a more melodic instrument than just rhythmic.

From one drummer who was influenced by him, although I was not born until '82, he will be missed dearly!! He was an exelent drummer with great speed and accuracy. May your reincarnated self make himself be known soon.

From one more head beater, he had a very delicate side that was under appreciated. I learnd alot from listening to him.

R.I.P. Mitch. I hope the "band upstairs" has a new set of skins waiting for ya.

I can't think of any other drummers that I know that wouldn't list him as an inspiration.
