    PC Sizing

    Hey everyone a quick question.

I am planning on ordering a PC and had a question about sizing. My chest and abdomen are quite different sizes, the latter unfortunately being the larger of the two. How should a measure for the jacket?

You have to measure based on the vendor. You may be more suited to a 'made-to-order' jacket. It's better to spend more now than buy twice.

I agree, you may be a good candidate for a made to measure jacket. Standard sizes have a set chest to waist sizing and it's typically the chest that is bigger (I think 6" is a common difference).

If you're going to spend the money on the jacket, spending a little more so that it fits right is money well spent. A well made jacket will last a LONG time, and since it's a traditionally styled Prince Charlie, you don't have to worry about the style changing.

Good advice from Georgeblack7 and Davedove-- being larger than standard you will only get a decent fit if you go for a made to measure jacket. And, since these really do last forever (I recently gave away a nearly 40 year old kilt jacket that was as good as the day I purchased it) it is well worth the extra money, probably something like an additional 20%. Like John Arbuckle said, "Quality remains long after price is forgotten."
