In my opinion, red hose are too loud. I'd say wear the white hose (or black ones, if you can get any) with the tartan flashes, and a dark sweater and tie.

Hi, this is ChattanCat's wife. I worked at a photography studio for 7 years and IMO, white shirts typically do nothing for your skin pallor. I think the black/black is your best bet. The problem with the reds is that it would be nearly impossible to match the shades exactly and in portraits it seems exagerated. The blacks would also fit in with whatever anyone else in the portrait is wearing. Hope you don't mind my two cents worth!
