Well, I went ahead and paid for my hotel room this week.
Seemed like a good week to do so. Exchange rates may go back up and there's no place I can put $1000 and earn interest anyway.
lol
I have no idea if my clan is doing anything.

Check here, if they are represented. If so, contact them.

Three of mine will be, including the one I'm a commissioner of. Unfortunately, unless I win the lotto ($$$) I will not be (& I even have friends in Edinburgh I could stay with!?!)

Man I wish I could make it over, but I've already got my vacation spent for next summer. Taking a group of Boy Scouts and Venturers to Philmont for a great time backpacking.

I'm confirmed as going... I'll be there for around 2 weeks or so.

Our dollar may have been on par with the American dollar, but in currancy that means little against other currancies. We have been running about $1.65-$1.85 for a pound sterling the last couple of months. Our first trip over it was $2.56, and fall of 2007 it was $2.25.
