Royal Cuff Kilt Hose Toppers
Today I was lucky enough to receive a package from The Scottish Tartan Museum inside were my Royal Cuff Kilt Hose. I have wanted a pair as soon as Matt made them available. I got in touch with Matt and asked him his recommendations as to colour and design. It was decided to go with the Basket Weave and for the hose to go with the Carolina Tartan kilt that Matt had just completed for me. To make a long story short, I must say I could not be happier with them they are no doubt a luxury item that will not match every tartan but I'm very happy with the way they look paired with the Carolina and I'm sure I'll wear them with other tartans as well. The cuffs were made with bright red and cream basket weave, with black and mustard ribbing, on a loden green sock. Worn with tartan red garters
Here are some photos, thanks again Matt.

Congratulations. Those sound very nice.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

That's top-shelf. You've got a great eye... it works really, really well.
I wouldn't have chosen that pattern and I'm realizing that I need to open up my "eye" a bit more.

I was surprised to see my knees in a video display at the Scottish Tartans Museum last week.

Hey, you should ask Matt for royalties for your knee-modeling... you could always collect them as "trade-out" instead of cash!

I'm becoming more and more a fan of the Carolina tartan, and the look you've shown is good incentive. I like the look of the loden hose with that tartan.

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
