The Plaza is pretty much across the street from us; bands usually play on Friday or Saturday nights. So are you meeting up on Wednesday, like tomorrow?

I think we have decided on Wednesday (tomorrow, yes)... We wanted to try to squeeze one in before the holidays kick in (cuttin' it close, aren't we? ). I'm sure it's going to be crazy from here on out until sometime after the New Year.
Hope you're doing great, Scrapscot! I know you said you were going to be pretty busy. Good to "hear" from you!

Oh, and btw... as far as times. I'm not sure. I live north of Ft Worth, so Christopher and I will have to get ready and then drive to Arlington. I'm not sure offhand how long it'll take us to get there or how long it will take others to get down there. I'll have to see what time he thinks would be a good meeting time. I would say about 7 or 8, but again I'm not sure offhand what would be best for him.

I'm cool with the places suggested.
Just so people can lock down plans, what time and location works best for everybody?
Times: 7:00 or 8:00 work?
Locations: I think the only places mentioned were J. Gilligans and the Plaza Pub. (If anybody else has a last minute suggestions for locations, speak now, or forever hold your peace .)
We should decide on a time and place tonight, or by morning.
With Thursday being a busy day for most of us, I'm sure there will be some running around tomorrow for the holiday, and knowing who, where, and when for the get together will be one less thing on everybody's minds.

J Gilligans at 7pm.
There, we have a plan! Those who can't make it at 7, get there when you can. Come and go as we need.
And if you guys don't like this, make your own plan! If we can wear kilts, we can do whate'er we damn well please!

Thank you!!! I didn't want to be the one to decide all of the stuff Normally, if I have a plan to meet up I'll say so, but this was such a quick and "well, what would everyone like to do?" thing I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to speak up (especially since I really don't know that area very well).
Here is the website for J Gilligan's (and the address and phone number are on there, too).
There are two sections for this place. It's in a "U" type shape, with an outdoor area in the inside part of the "U". The place we usually hang out is on the left, the Bar and Grill part (that's where sessions are on Tuesdays, just fyi for future outings for anyone interested). The Draft House is on the right, and I think that's where all the big crowds usually go... I think a band may be performing in that section tomorrow, but I'm not sure. The great thing is, this place is big enough for us to find a cozy spot to ourselves if we want to be away from crowds and music, I'm sure! So we can just meet up and figure out where we want to sit, chat, and drink/eat. No worries -- we'll find each other. I'm sure we'll be the only ones wearing kilts (yeah, I say that... now watch... )
I'll be wearing my Irish National Thrifty, and Christopher will probably be wearing what he's wearing in his icon (Black Stewart).

J Gilligans works.
For those who haven't been there, if you enter from the front, the bar has two sides.
The right side--the Draft House--is more of a college kinda hangout, while the left side has more space and plenty of tables (the bar and grill side).
There is a band playing there tomorrow...not sure which side of the bar, though.
That would be my only concern with J Gilligans.

Christopher, I just called the Draft House and they told me that the band playing will be on their side, not the Bar & Grill side. I asked, if we go to the B&G side, we shouldn't be dealing with big crowds or a band and she said we'd be okay.
So, we should be okay

Yea and thanx to all who put in their vote and made decisions!
See you all at J Gilligans Wednesday, November 26th, 7 pm-ish.
