I'll be spending the day alone and doubt I'll be going out which, not being unusual, is fine as I will have met up with some kilted friends in Central London at lunch-time the previous day.

    Take care,
    Ham.

Yes, the only downside to singing in the choir is my robes cover my kilts...sigh. I used to take pride in dressing "up" for church, and always had my photo done afterwards, made for a great collection. But wearing a robe has allowd me to lapse into just the basics.

But I miss it! So I vow this St. Andrews Day to start the tradition again. Bring out the hand-knitted hose and flashes, and take more care in coordinating my outfits.

I celebrated the feast of St. Andrew the first-called this evening at the jubilee (50 year) celebration of the ordination of a priest at our parish.

Whilst I didn't go in Highland attire, as I was serving as the Verger during the service, there was a Scottish connection, as our first Kirkin' of the Tartan at St. John's was held under this particular priest, and our current priest was stationed at Holy Loch when he was in the US Navy.
